About Us


Aboriginal Cultural Awareness Online is the product of a collaborative partnership between the Indigenous Leadership Development Institute and Millbrook Technologies, and endorsed by the Assembly of First Nations.

The Indigenous Leadership Development Institute Inc. is a non-profit organization established to build leadership capacity in Indigenous people. The organization is run by Indigenous people and directed by a volunteer board reflecting the diversity of the Indigenous community.

Millbrook Technologies is located in Nova Scotia, Canada and is owned by the Millbrook First Nation. Specializing in the customization of advanced technologies, Millbrook Technologies has strategic alliance partners in all Provinces and Territories in Canada and continues to work with other First Nation communities in the development of capacity building initiatives.

The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) is the national representative organization of the First Nations in Canada. The AFN Secretariat is designed to present the views of the various First Nations through their leaders in areas such as: Aboriginal and Treaty Rights, Economic Development, Education, Languages and Literacy, Health, Housing, Social Development, Justice, Taxation, Land Claims, Environment, and a whole array of issues that are of common concern which arise from time to time.
